A Piece of Heaven: Purgatory Chasm State Reservation and Foppema’s Orchard (October 2017)

Over the meadows and through the woods, we crawl our way between crevices and crumbling leaves. In Purgatory Chasm State Reservation, we are children in the arms of Mother Nature. Fall foliage silently delivers its first and last pirouette as it gently lands on fertile ground. A piece of heaven is unearthed here in this little corner of Sutton, Massachusetts.

Surrounded by pastures, we weave our arms between branches of orchard trees to pluck the grandest and ripest of apples.
