When I worked for an architectural stone fabricator, I was always in awe of their natural stone collection in the showroom and warehouse. Each slab displayed its own unique pattern and color, inspiring creativity every day. It’s no wonder people would want these timeless pieces of the earth in their home and offices. I also had the opportunity at work to create the architectural product design drawings within floor plans. What a joy it was to imagine the client’s choice of rock in their home or work space and then see the finished product. After introducing architectural product renderings to the company, I was able to show products in 3-D before the slabs were cut and physically built out. It’s amazing the tools we have in this generation. Such advanced technology could greatly improve the product development workflow.
