I spent a leisurely evening at Revere Beach, Massachusetts, contemplating time, the beauty of minimalism, and metaphors. The temperature was approaching 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and spring began to feel the pricks of the broom. Almost mechanically, people rushed to the beach. A clock, just steps from the sand, seemed to usher in a sense of order and formality. Pieces of technology like this stood out against the natural sunset.
